Memorial Weekend was a blast. Derek and I, along with most of Derek's siblings and Dad went to Pinetop for a softball tournament. We all stayed at my parent's house (except for Bridget and Bup) and had a fabulous time. Here we are playing golf on the "driving range" in my front yard.
This was in between softball games so here we see Derek sporting basketball shorts tucked into softball socks to make the old fashion golf pant look. This trendy outfit is made complete with a red sweatband.

Though I did not join in on the softball field I couldn't resist taking a few swings. This is probably the second time in my life I've swung a golf club.

Kendra also joined in on the fun. This was Travis and Kendra's wedding anniversary so Kendra decided to pick up the club again in memory of their honeymoon golf trip. Happy Anniversary Travis and Kendra!

Onto the Softball game highlights. Derek made an excellent 3rd baseman. He dives for the ball which is visible just inside his glove. I expect to be collecting his Softball cards soon. He is MVP in my book.

If you expand this picture you will see that Bup is so good that he can do this with his eyes closed. Now that's what I call a team captain.

And here is another picture of Derek before hitting the ball. Though I did not make it to the 6 o'clock game I had a blast at the other ones! Thanks to Bup for getting all of the guys in on the tournament!

Another highlight of the trip was the food. We had the best lasagna I have ever had in the biggest pan I have ever seen. We also tried some fabulous banana cookies that I am betting will be airing on food network before long. From eating buttermilk french toast to mexican food to sugar cookies and more, I'll be needing to do some serious running to work it all off! Thanks to Jenny for being the groups personal chef!

Even though memorial day brings expectations of sunny days and bbq's Pinetop was under 6 inches of snow. I'm so sick of the snowy weather that I didn't even take pictures but luckily it melted quickly. Here my absolutely adorable nephew Carson wears his hat to keep his ears warm in the chilly weather.

We took a lovely walk at the park a few days later where Mason and Brady kept themselves occupied with throwing stones into the water and checking out bugs.

Derek and I had such a fun weekend and loved seeing both of our families at the same time! Let's make this trip a tradition!
