Due to the very helpful nursing bra responses I've decided to ask for more advice in order to be a perfect mother from day one. (HA!)
What were you not prepared for or what surprised you when it came to labor/delivery/having a new baby?
or
What is your best advice for labor/delivery/having a new baby?
(example of what I am looking for: "steal as many nose-sucker bulbs from the hospital as you can, they are way better than any you can find in a store")

Well, I'd say that as long as you're stealing stuff from the hospital, take an MRI machine. You could sell it for huge bucks on Ebay!...Ben
Anything and everything is fair game at the hospital...(k maybe not everything)...but all the baby supplies they provide take it!!! diapers, rash cream, wipes, baby onsies, and ask for more if you think you might need some more...also...I was all about the epidural...if you are- I suggest get it when you want it...don't try to see "how far you can get" if you know you want it...why be miserable just to see how far you go...you don't win a prize for making it to 7cm before you get it.
Whatever the nurses say, DON'T let your husband anywhere near your hoo-hah during labor. Keep him far, far away. That's nothing anyone really wants to see--trust me. Keep Derek at your head. Reject the mirror.
I agree with all of the above especially the third comment!!! I can't wait to see the little guy. Hope all goes well!
I never even used my nose sucker bulb. Yeah, ask for more diapers and wipes a few hours before you go home so can take home a whole pack. Pack: socks, chapstick, snacks for Derek, nursing bra, pillows if you want. Keep on top of your pain meds if you get a c-section, DO NOT let them wear off. You'll do great! I know you will!
