Four month Fun

Cooper is now four months old! Most people say they can't believe it but I really just feel like this is how life has always been, he is such a fun part of our lives.

He is getting easier and easier as he gets older - not as fussy and really smiley.

Cooper brings many joys including:

knowing what to do with your arms in family pictures

(do you fold them and risk looking mad or impatient? leave them straight and worry about looking like a soldier? lovingly touch your spouse and risk looking like you're at prom?)

NOPE, just cradle your child

I LOVE watching Cooper with his dad.

The only thing better than having Derek as a husband is having

Derek as a husband and having a baby that wants to grow

up to be Derek.

He doesn't look at Derek without breaking into a huge smile every time

and focuses so hard on Derek's face trying to mimic whatever he is doing.

Watching Cooper grow and learn new things is ridiculously exciting.
...except for the fact that Cooper doesn't actually appear to grow.

Pop quiz.
Put the following babies in order by age:

Answer: Cooper looks smaller than Evelyn (far right) but he is actually TWO months older than her.

He looks smaller than Jax (middle) also but Jax is ALSO TWO months younger than Cooper.

Evelyn = 2 months Jax = two months old Cooper = Four months old.

Yeah.

Cooper is in the "less than one percentile" for weight...

Jax is 100%

Other joys include learning to find our own spiritual fulfillment as it turns out that

the church halls are not as enlightening as the actual classrooms.

(I'm sure the relief society president was really impressed with me since I was taking pictures

in the hall and didn't show up to class)

Being parents is too much fun!
