My mother happily raised two daughters. She loved having girls but now that we are married I think that she also LOVES having boys around to help with things that boys are good at
like being taller than girls
being stronger than girls...
etc.
Thank goodness she has two sons-in-law who are always willing to help.
See how happy Derek is to help? It's one of the many reasons I love him
See how he is not as happy in this picture?
Well he is stuck there...pretty darn stuck.
My parents have a 12 foot prelit Christmas tree that Derek kindly put the very last piece on top by reaching through this gap in the railing.
He had to reach super far and when he went to go back in...his ribs would not fit through the opening.
Derek always says calm in sticky situations so when I could tell that he was seriously worried..I was SERIOUSLY worried.
Luckily Matt was finally able to pull on Derek's clothes hard enough to help him slide out.
But not before we all wondered if we should go ahead and call the fire department.

Not good news to his now possibly fatherless son

That is hilarious! Glad you didn't have to use the jaws of life!
Haha, Yikes! I'm glad he got out. That is too funny. What a good man to risk his life for decorating the tree. :)

What a great resource!
I can't believe that!!!! Matt never told us that had happened. You definitely need to post it on the family website!
