End of Summer Update

Though the weather is still beautiful our summertime freedom has been taken over by school and internships. Derek is working at Flagstaff Athletic Club as his first rotation for physical therapy and I'm in my last semester before student teaching.

I'm sorry to have gone so long without an update but traveling and internet issues made it difficult. Here is what we've been doing lately:

Reed had a birthday, shout hooray!

We are so glad we were able to be there for the family party. We are so grateful for all that Reed does for us. He is so hospitable and lets us take over the house every time we come to the valley. I can't imagine a better father-in-law and am so grateful for his generostiy and love for Derek and I.

Here is the yellow cake and chocolate frosting (his favorite) golf cake.

Derek and I also celebrated our first anniversary. We enjoyed a relaxing day in the pool, a fabulous dinner at P.F. Changs compliments of Reed and a movie.

I am so grateful for Derek and the incredible husband that he is to me. I really can't imagine anyone being a more perfect person for me to spend my life with. He is so patient with me, so appreciative of all that I do, is very understanding, great at listening and is extremely loving. This last year has been the best year of my life and could spend all day, every day just being with him.
