August

Whew, I finally got through all of our July adventures! Since I was still trying to keep up with all of the events that July held August went by in a flash. I took 9 total pictures this month, as opposed to the 400 from July.

August was a wonderful month though. Derek and I celebrated our 3rd Anniversary by staying at the Heritage Inn Bed and Breakfast in Snowflake. My dad had won(sort of) a one night's stay from a Golf tournament and gave it to us to use. I L.O.V.E.D. staying there. It was our first stay at a B&B and was so enjoyable. We went out to dinner, watched movies in our lovely king sized bed, took a walk around the town, enjoyed the lovely gardens and had such an incredible breakfast. We loved the owners who were so friendly and helpful! When our stay was over it was just so nice to only drive 40 minutes to pick Cooper up. It was so relaxing to get away then not have a long drive home. It just ended up being the perfect little stay for our Anniversary. I would do it again in a heartbeat and now I even have dreams of running my own B&B someday!

Cooper and I also enjoyed going out to lunch with my dear friends, Emily and Rachel. I love living in the mountains and I am so thrilled that I am not the only one who has come back! We miss you Rachel but we are sure that New York is suiting you just fine!

We celebrated Jolie's birthday before the Waite's headed back to the valley and Cooper got a balloon to take home. He just loves balloons and played with it for hours.

I love how even though motherhood keeps me busy Cooper has a way of helping me slow down. Each new discovery is such a wonder for him and reminds me of how incredible the little things are. I love watching him learn new things every day and develop into the person that he will be for the rest of his life. He is just my buddy and is such a sweet, loving, patient, easy to please, helpful, joyful, and special boy. I am so grateful to be the one raising him.
